The Burner's Retirement — When Kitchen Equipment Becomes Family

After fifteen years of nonstop service, the 4-burner high-pressure stove at Casa Maria has finally earned its retirement. This stove has been the heart of the kitchen, cooking thousands of biryanis, simmering pots of dal, and powering through countless dinner rushes. At Kashmir restaurant in Makati, this burner was more than just equipment — it was part of the family.

A Lifetime of Service in an Indian Restaurant Kitchen Philippines

Running an Indian restaurant kitchen in the Philippines comes with unique challenges. The commercial kitchen in Makati must handle high volumes while maintaining authentic flavors. Our 4-burner stove was built to withstand this pressure. It endured years of intense heat and constant use, helping create dishes that have delighted customers since 1975.

This burner was the backbone of many signature dishes:

  • Aromatic biryanis cooked to perfection

  • Creamy, flavorful dal simmered slowly

  • Tandoori classics prepared with care

Each dish carried the spirit of Kashmir, no matter if it was cooked on this old burner or a newer induction range.

Why We Don’t Scrap Old Kitchen Equipment

In many restaurants, old kitchen equipment ends up in the landfill. At Kashmir, we believe in giving our tools a second life. The burner that served us so well deserved more than to be discarded. We found it a new home where it can continue to be useful.

This approach reflects our respect for the tools that help us serve authentic Indian cuisine in the Philippines. It also supports sustainability by reducing waste from commercial kitchen Philippines operations.

The Heart of Kashmir Restaurant in Makati

Kashmir has been part of the Makati food scene for decades. Our commitment to quality and tradition means every dish tastes like it was made with love. Whether the kitchen uses a brand-new induction stove or a battle-worn gas burner, the flavor stays consistent.

Our kitchen never stops. The burner’s retirement marks the end of an era but also the start of new beginnings. We continue to serve our customers with the same passion and care, using the best equipment available.
